Where preeminence is given to the study and application of the Scriptures.
We believe that the Holy Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testament
Scriptures, was written by men divinely inspired and is a perfect treasure of heavenly
instruction. We believe the Bible has God as its author, salvation for its end and truth
without any mixture of error for its matter.
We also believe that the King James Version (1611) is the best translation available in
English. For this reason, we use it exclusively.
Where preeminence is given to the worship of God as revealed in the Scriptures.
We believe that there is one, and only one true God; that in the unity
of the Godhead there are three divine persons - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,
equal in every divine perfection.
Where preeminence is given to the proclamation of mankind's need of a Saviour.
We believe that mankind was created in holiness and by nature and choice
has fallen from that state. We believe that mankind's only hope for eternal salvation is
through the sacrificial gift of the Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Where preeminence is given to the maturity of the believers.
We believe that Jesus Christ intends for all Christians to give careful
attention to a growing relationship with Himself. We believe that all should be encouraged
to go beyond an acceptance of Christ and to experience the Lord working daily in our lives.
Where preeminence is given to the local, independent Baptist Church.
We believe that Jesus Christ organized His church during His earthly
ministry prior to Pentecost. We believe the scriptures give instruction as to the
operation, officers and ordinances of the church. We encourage all members of this
assembly to become active and supportive of its ministries.
